About Ovarian Cancer Research Fund

Description: OCRF is devoted to the formulation of early diagnostic treatment programs and research towards the ultimate conquest of ovarian cancer. As we strive to find a cure, we also seek to support patients and their loved ones in understanding this disease and its treatment, through educational and awareness programs.

Mission: Founded in December 1994 in memory of Ann Schreiber, The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, Inc. (OCRF) is one of the only agencies of its kind, dedicated to funding cutting-edge research to end this disease which takes the lives of 14,500 American women annually. We believe that future advances in ovarian cancer research lie in the hands of today's young researchers. It is for this reason that OCRF's main funding priority has been advancing outstanding researchers early in their careers, whose projects focus on early detection, screening and basic translational research. Through our Scientific Advisory Committee, OCRF funds exceptional investigators across the country. As we strive to find a cure, we to raise awareness through our many educational programs and special events.
