It is that time again to Stroll for Epilepsy and raise not only awareness but funds for Epilepsy. This will mark the fifth year that Team HH will be involved with this wonderful event, and this will be our third year strolling in St. Cloud.
Chris has completed another full year without a seizure. So that makes it over four years of being seizure free!! He also submitted a entry again this year in the Epilepsy Foundation's writing contest "Epilogues" and he was a Judges Choice winner for the second straight year.
His entry was titled "Am I Normal?” The entry was about how good and bad experiences can come from something that is life changing and the effect it has on people. hard it can be to come to terms with a major change in a person’s life and show that taking away bad experiences is not necessarily good.
Chris also was name a Volunteer Educator for the Alexandria Area for the Foundation. He goes around to Schools and different organizations and does Epilepsy Workshops. He has done four so far and is excited to get the word out on Epilepsy and to educate as many people as he can.
Now on to Hannah...She has had her ups and downs like any normal 5 year old. We are excited to say that it has been almost a year without a seizure. She still has her good and bad days but maybe she has turned a corner. We can only hope. She is starting to get into soccer and loves Ariel, Annie and all the disney princesses. And she saw Annie live for the first time. And of course she still loves the Wild, Twins and Vikings and still thinks the Packers suck!!!
She loves it at preschool, where she sings and dances and has many friends. She is getting ready for kindergarten in the fall. Every day she is growing up so fast and we are surprised how far she has come.
We once again helped the Epilepsy Foundation with the Gala Event and it was a great time. Sheila and Chris helped put together a wonderful video set to music in honor of the Shining Stars. Two of the artists suffer from Epilepsy so it was awesome that they could donate their talents to the cause.
We wanted to share a couple links to the wonderful artists that shared their amazing talents with us for the video we produced for the 2008 Light up the Night Gala, as well as the song of theirs that we used. We hope you enjoy their music as much as we have. Feel free to share them with others!
